A Few Tips For Preparing Your Swimming Pool for Summer

As the warm weather approaches, it is time to prepare your swimming pool for summer. Proper preparation ensures that your pool is clean, safe and ready for hours of summer fun!

  1. Inspect and clean pool equipment, such as pool filters, pumps and heaters, to ensure they are in good working condition.

  2. Check water chemistry by using a pool water testing kit to check the pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels.

  3. Have proper cyanuric (CYA) levels. Cyanuric (CYA), also known as pool conditioner. Having too much or too little can inhibit your chlorine's effectiveness.

  4. Use Energy efficient equipment.

  5. Turn on and run your pump to ensure that the water circulation is functioning correctly. Thus, the swimming pool water is nice and clean!

  6. Inspect and/or install proper pool safety equipment near or around the pool. Such as pool fences, pool alarm, gates, lifesaver ring, life hooks and first aid kit.

  7. Create a pool maintenance schedule. This will help to keep your pool in excellent condition throughout the summer. Also, you may hire a professional pool service company certified by I.P.S.S.A (Independent Pool Service & Spa Service).

A clean and well-maintained pool ensures a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for you, your family, and your guests. Remember, regular maintenance and monitoring are key to keeping your pool in pristine condition all summer long. So dive in, relax, and make the most of the sunny season in your sparkling pool!
